the building and launching of the rocket is interesting. However, I did not find Verne’s writing style to be as gratifying as I would hope. Primarily his depiction of the main characters was so exaggerated and sometimes silly that I found it rather disappointing. I found the book lacking in the gravity and human realism found in Verne’s other books, such as “20000 Leagues Under the Sea.”Overall, however, “From the Earth to the Moon” is a book you should read, if not for its interesting theme, then simply because it is a classic piece of literature.
