As its title suggests, The City of Ember, is about a city, and a very unique one at that. As the first sentence of the first chapter says:
“In the city of Ember, the sky was always dark. The only light came from great flood lamps, mounted on the top of buildings and at the tops of poles mounted in the middle of the larger squares.”

omg i love this book it was sooo cool on how there way of loving is just so different. it was amazing and all my friends think so to
at first i was a bit disappointed with the age old cliche plot (boy meets girl, either romance or saving the world)
after the first few chapters, when the action really started to kick in i got really interested
i love action novels and this was pretty good
the ending was a daebak(awesome) cliffhanger
i bought the second book and im really enjoying it
